Virginia
Stage Company Production, Norfolk, Virginia, Oct 9 - 26, 1985 - Warmest
thanks to Wendy
Barrie-Wilson
(Rebecca and Millicent in this production), for donating a copy of the program
from this, the U.S. premiere, to the JPDC. According to Wendy, this production
was a true labor of love, and Donleavy was a pleasure to work with. |

| Douglas
Fairbanks Theatre "Reading," New York. Monday, March 2, 6 p.m., 1987 - This
reading of the play was performed by the entire cast of the US premiere, all
members of The Virginia Stage Company (see above listing for cast credits).
According to the promotional card, there was a reception for Donleavy after
the performance which was presented by Milton Goldman. Again, special thanks
to Wendy
Barrie-Wilson for
donating this card to the JPDC. It was hoped that the event would generate backing for a New York production of the play, but, unfortunately, no such enterprise evolved. |
